The Little Choo-Choo That Could - Mystery Letterbox.

Somewhere in the Wellington Region.

Placed 11th September 2004

A bicycle you will need to find me hidden
On a track well known for being ridden

I am a mutinies trim clunk
(Am I confused? - I could be drunk!)

I retired in '55 when I was 77 years old
A new way was cut, truth be told

But my station remains 1141 feet up in the breeze
Go 20 metres forward at 140 degrees

Under a stump if you look very hard
You will find Bob holding my greeting card

The box contains a logbook and a homemade stamp, along with a stamp pad and a first finders certificate. Please let us know whether you find it or not, and what the condition is of the box.

Please pack some water, food and warm clothing if you do look for this letterbox. You can walk but it is a six hour return trip. Is a relatively easy cycle - Chaucey and I did it in under 2 hours return and I would expect an average person could do it in an hour.

Here Chaucey snapped me on the way to placing the letterbox.
